As most of you know, Saleisha recently won cycle nine of America's Next Top Model.
Well, the rules say she shouldnt even be in the competition.
Saleisha was in a Wendy's Commercial in 2006 and rule number ten says contestants arent allowed to have have national campaigns in terms of modeling and arent allowed to have any national television appearances.
Not only that...
But I find it VERY suspicious that she is connected to Tyra. She knew Tyra not only from T-Zone, but Saleisha was also in a cycle six episode(The third episode, in the GenArt Fashion Show) and she was also on the Tyra Banks show modeling for Rami Kashou. AND Saleisha was on an episode of Ugly Betty.
So with all of this in mind, Saleisha should not have won. She shouldnt even be allowed to compete.
Of course their is the rule that says the producers can bend any of the rules they want, when they want. But it makes you wonder, why did they bend the rule for Saleisha? And not for Rachael, a girl who tried out in cycle three but was turned down because she was in Seventeen? And why didnt they bend the rules for Sarah(cy8) or Megg(cy8)? The rule says you arent allowed to be signed with an agency. Megg and Sarah were both signed to Elite and were forced to leave Elite to be on the show.
The Scandal is getting picked up all over the internet. E! News has been talking about it. Comcast has too and other websites.
I just hope Tyra gets confronted for being a liar and a cheater.
OH LOOK! More Saleisha work:

Saeisha has said so and so have the producers.
1) she broke the rules
2) the fact that she had modeling experiance and WON was just like WTF. since Chantal, a new model in training, had to compete with an EXPERIANCED model.
4) this show is all about one girl fullfilling their dreams of modeling, being a model and such. heck, saleisha's didn't even need the show! she was alreayd famous!
5) and last but not least, she fact that they chose the model that was already a model of a girl who wanted it soooo much and never had the chance to do it won, is just unfair!

To whoever said SHE broke the rules - First of all, the rules have never stated that a contestant is not allowed to have previous experience or have been signed to a modelling agency, it states that they are not allowed CURRENT contracts with national advertisers and agencies. She went into the competition out of work, seems perfectly fair to me
To whoever said previous experience made the competition unfair - This is an extremely narrow minded view on things, and is very immature to say that because she's been lucky enough to score a few gigs in the past that it makes it unfair, shes had the dream a long time and has actively gone out and pursued it, its not her fault if her competition hasnt done the same thing previously, they obviously werent as determined or havent had the dream as long
To whoever said Heather should have won - I agree, i adore her, shes the icing on my aspergic cake.
To be honest, she won, she deserved it, she worked hard, and if it were you and the producers chose to give YOU a chance even though youd done work in the past and met tyra at t-zone, how likely are you to turn around and say 'thanks but no thanks, I ahve to abide by rules, less my fans turn on me'. Put your hand up if this is something you'd do...
*waits for hands to raise*
I didnt think so.
I liked Saleisha and was pleased she won although having then found out about how the rules were bent for her, I was less impressed.
I also wonder and here is the biggie ! Why Tara allows the African American girls to proceed through the process when they have been rude, aggressive and anything but a role model. If anyone else behaved like some of these girls, she has kicked their sorry behinds off the show.
I do NOT mean ALL the African American girls - just the rude ones who think that being African American makes them superior. I dislike the superiority complex that is fuelled by Tara Banks.
I am an avid fan of ANTM. I live in Argentina, and unfortunately they are airing the show with great delay compared to the USA. I don't know why, since with other shows we are only a week behind (American idol, Grey's Anatomy, etc). Currently on prime-time, cycle 13 is being shown as if it were the "newest" season but during the afternoon they show reruns of the previous cycles.
I have just finished seeing the finale of cycle 9, and I was ok with Saleisha winning, although I would have preferred Chantal. I think Saleisha looked much better with long hair, before she got the makeover. That short hairdo made her look babyish. Top the short bob with her bubbly personality, and she seemed like a child. The long hair suits her way better and is much sexier and exotic.
I so agree with the previous post in many ways. Saleisha was one of my favorites along with Chantal and Heather (whom I think is stunningly beautiful). And I was pleased she had won, but right after I saw the finale today, I came across all this info on the web about the Saleisha scandal and I am stunned and a bit annoyed to find out that cycle 9 (and maybe other cycles??) could have been rigged. That is just not fair; it should be an equitable competition, the judges should be impartial and the rules and regulations unbiased to all.
I also coincide with the fact that SOME of the African-American girls appear to be rude, troublemakers and very LOUD. OMG many times they pick fights and they YELL!! Why are they allowed to continue on the show?? Is it on purpose so that they can start conflict and get everybody arguing and fighting?? For ratings perhaps? Most contestants lack eye-catching personalities so maybe they have nothing else to show us viewers therefore they keep the childish fighting and shouting. It is soooo annoying. And it's a shame, because many contestants (no matter race, religion or dna) are pretty but when they open their mouths they make a fool of themselves; they just mess up...
I also agree that it is just sad that people use the word "hate". Just because someone doesn't agree with your opinion doesn't mean that they are 'hating'. I too feel that people who opt for the 'hate' word are of low intellect and education. The 'hate' word is being used as a defense when they can't come up with a logical argument to support their case.
BTW, changing the topic, cycle 8 winner, jaslene, is too ugly and she speaks horribly. She has verbal diarrhea. How the heck did she win?? She is the first hispanic to win ANTM, but she does not represent hispanics. The judges screwed up there.
Ok, I've written enough...for now ;)
